This poem is based off of my next novel coming out on the 1st of October.
The valley rolls below,
but back then
what did we know,
It always felt like home,
where we were free…
to roam,
free to be us,
with the rolling hills
ahead of us,
like a sea
of endless possibility.
Where did it all go—
wrong.
